At least they will be more entertaining with Realmuto behind and at the plate than (barf) Knapp.

An argument can be made that they could enter the season with the best line-up in the division. They also have two really good starting pitchers in Nola and Wheeler. The rest of the pitching staff is a big question mark and will determine whether they are a ~.500 team or a playoff contender this season.

They aren’t, but I like the signing, especially when there were numbers close to 200 million being discussed. He will be 34 when the contract ends. Not terrible...

They were basically a .500 team last year. Were it not for literally the worst bullpen performance in the nearly 150 year history of MLB, they would have made the playoffs. Implying they could be playoff contenders in 2021 is not rose colored hyperbole.

COULD BE PLAYOFF CONTENDERS VS BEST LINEUP IN THEIR DIVISION. Which is it?

Ok, ok...the best line-up in the East assertion MAY be a bit of rose colored hyperbole :-)
