Maybe reading into the wording a bit here but he said "nothing formal was put in". Just my theory - but Bieniemy's agent was the one who tweeted and said the Eagles were going to hire McDaniels, I think he made the assumption and told the team his client was not interested, thus no formal request to the Chiefs. just a theory... -
I know there are legal tamper periods, etc, but unless ANY coach (with a current team) in the superbowl is a slam dunk superstar, why wait around to hire that person and get such a late start? Seems like the majority of other HC hires are already filling our the coaching staff positions. I haven't seen that angle discussed in the media as to why teams passed on Bieniemy. Different tale if the chiefs didn't make the playoffs.Comment
