What is the phucking problem with drafting a Linebacker?

Well, you play so much Nickel/Dime that you don't need the amount of LBs that you did in the past and the value of off-ball LBs is dropping with the emergence of elite receiving TEs and hybrid safety/LBs. Now TEs are going #4 and the best LB in the draft went 12, which is pretty wild.

That said, their only (decent?) LB is Singleton and he's mostly a downhill player. It's weird. Back to 2012, they were taking Kendricks, signed DeMeco, they drafted Hicks in 2014 and then Schwartz came in and it was like LBs didn't exist anymore. Maybe it's just the way this draft fell, and we'll have to see what they do next draft/FA.
