  • A Brief History of Jeff Luries Head Coach Hires

    1. Ray "Ray Bob" Rhodes - A woke choice by a novice owner but not a bad one. Ray hired a lot of great assistants (Gruden, Harbaugh) and made the playoffs with average talent. Eventually his health went bad and the team declined.

    Grade B+

    2. Andy "Big Red" Reid - A unicorn. Probably the result of outside influences but Lurie still gets credit.

    Grade A+

    3. Chip "High School Harry" Kelly - Turned out to be a disaster but not a bad hire based on his college career.

    Grade B

    4. Doug "Gomer" Pederson - A+ results from a C hire. No way Lurie expected him to succeed but nobody else would take the job.

    Grade C

    5. Nick "Flowers" Sirianni - Earnest nce guy makes horrible NFL head coach. Jeff thinking he is the smatest guy in the room after getting lucky with Gomer. Should have been Duce.

    Grade F

His capo is "Soft John" Gannon and his primary hitman is Jalen "big" Hurts.

500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.
