Like no shit, the Colts are winning games with maybe the best OL and RB in the league, while barely even asking their QB to throw.

Now to contradict myself, I think Wentz is better than those guys. I think he's fine for a team like Indy who needs to win now and had to replace a retiring QB. But for what the Eagles owed him, and considering they'd probably have to reset the QB market again before he entered his last year, I don't mind that he's gone.

I might get lambasted for this but it's kind of similar to Washington letting Cousins go. He's another guy who I think is better than he gets credit for, but is overpaid.
Yeah we can quibble about the comparison, who's better who's worse, but all the guys mentioned are in the same tier for me. Kirk D Cousins is pretty spot on, for a lot of reasons.

Regardless, the social media histrionics far outpace what his actual talent or accomplishments deserve. He's not some all timer. It's just bizarre.

For me, the way he forced his way out of town was the final straw. I had always liked the guy as he came across as a good dude but the way he handled the well-deserved benching just smacked of being a spoiled, entitled, immature brat. The "I'm taking my ball and going home" attitude pissed me off and obviously not something you want to see from your supposed team leader. I pull for the Colts because I've been a big Jonathon Taylor fan since his days at Salem HS in South Jersey...saw him play a handful of times and I followed him closely since I grew up in the next town. Salem's a shithole and it was great to see him get out of there relatively unscathed in no small part due to his parents being very strict. Not only is he an amazing talent but a great human being as well. Jonathon and Mike Trout have made South Jersey proud the way they handle themselves on and off the field. Sorry about going somewhat off-topic.

You want to pull for him have at it. I'm talking about fans who still to this day shit on the birds and fellow fans for Wentz leaving. Whose Wentz fandom still, a year later. seems to eclipse their Eagles fandom.

Never, in my entire life as an iggle fan, did I expect to see fellow fans siding with an ex player en masse.

I agree with the characterization of Wentz here. He's a fine player but nothing more. Not worth the contract, not worth pining over. Losing him is equivalent to Denver losing Cutler or Miami losing Tanny. I don't think the gap between our current QB situation and Wentz is as big as some make it out to be.
I guess you don't remember when they let Dawk or Reggie go...very few fans sided with the iggs in those situations.

Got his grundle grabbed at the bottom of a pile. Man just phrased it really awkwardly. "Attacked my ability to reproduce" in the literal sense lol

Good point, I should clarify: I never expected fans to side with a player who demanded a trade after severely underperforming. Also, Dawk and Reggie are all timers. Wentz is not.

I think nick foles taint flap is talking about the people who were more interested in being right about Wentz than the Eagles winning. Everyone was in agreement about Dawk and Reggie. No one was waiting to pounce on the haters when Macho Harris blew a coverage or something.

Last year when the Eagles fell behind 16-0 against the Cardinals, Les Bowen (who I can't stand) tweeted out "I'm confused. I thought all of the Eagles' problems were because of Wentz." Aside from the fact that literally no one said that, and that Hurts ended up playing maybe playing a better game than Wentz did all season, it's that kind of rooting against the Eagles that bothers me.
