I hated the hire and said this was the most over matched coaching staff in the league. Given the first seven weeks I still think they were overmatched but the way they have grown is amazing. It seems to me that in modern sports the strategy is far less important than being able to communicate and motivate younger players. For old coots like me the thought of worrying about ruffled feathers is something I just can’t comprehend but is vital now for success. The fact that Sirianni looked at what Lane Johnson stands for in the locker room and drew up a play for him to get a touchdown says everything I need to know about him. It not only rewarded him but also the entire o line that is responsible for their resurgence.

Same here. I think Duce would have beenl the correct hire but my opinion of Sirianni has gone way up.
