I always find it interesting when I give the Reggie/Jerome "A Football Life" doc a re-watch and there's the part in it about this. I think it's pretty telling given how passionate Reggie's wife gets telling her (Reggie's) side of the story where the truth most likely lies in this story. Braman was greasy. Second to the parts where Jerome and Reggie pass which is a total gut-punch and always gets me a bit tight in the throat, to me the part that really sucks is when they cover how Braman didn't want to pay the free agency game, there was the rally in Center City and Reggie becomes a Packer. In my book Reggie's an Eagle.

I know that Braman didn't want to pay any FAs, but the whole "God told me to go to Green Bay" was a bit much for me. Maybe it was Jesus, but my point still applies.
