The reason is Watson is a major gamble with his past and the Eagles would have to give up all their #1's and then some.

Most any team is going nowhere without a franchise QB. That being said, Watson will command a massive haul and not sure it is anywhere worth it at this time seeing what was given up for Russ. The right move here is to trade up for a great starter right now (if there is a player you really covet without giving up any of our 3 1st rounders) and defer one 1st round pick into next year's draft and roll with Hurts as much as I do not believe he is the long term solution. Retool the team with some great draft picks and a few free agents and see if you can swing for the fence next year on your franchise QB either in the draft or through a trade. Or, Hurts turns the corner and shuts my mouth and learns to read a defense and becomes more accurate with the ball, especially downfield. Who knows, it really is his full year 2 so he can make a major leap or be who he is. We can only hope right.

Also, Watson was not indicted doesn't mean the NFL will not suspend him for his actions. We know the NFL likes to get involved in these situations and you know with 22 complaints filed against him, he will be getting a hefty suspension (ironically less than Calvin Ridley but still will be sitting games).

Gotta roll with Hurts and maybe bring back pornstache as see what can happen. Watson is too much of a gamble at this point.

I for one did not want Wilson either, it's not their talent it is the fact that the price is to high, I feel they have more holes than QB to fill and just adding a QB is not taking you to the Super Bowl. Do I think Hurts is the QB of the future, NOPE. But I would rather take a flyer and draft Pickett or Willis and see how they work out, I mean who knows and you only use one of the 3 first rounders Everyone says you never hit on all three anyway.
