I want to read Derek Barnett released.500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. Not trying to be argumentative or a Debbie Downer at all but I do not see anyway in hell he comes back. He was clearly displeased with his role in the defense last year and was kinda vocal about it. He had a down year because of it (by his standards) and someone is going to throw massive money at him. He's still got a few great years left in him I suspect he would like to try and win a title and not be a part of a rebuild / retool. That and not really liking the defensive scheme (and already walking away with a huge payday for being cut) means there is a very low chance he comes back.Originally posted by art vandelay View Post

Not trying to nitpick here but he was first-team All-Pro the year after the SB. Still great in 2019. Realistically though his 2021 performance was probably partially scheme, partially age. Welp already out there that they have a deal in place to bring him back on a 1 year deal. That being said, same was said about Randy Gregory so let's see. I think he still has some shit left in the tank. If they aren't a contender, he is gone at the trade deadline I would assume.Comment
