  • Has Lurie Been Lying About Rule Preventing Eagles From Using Kelly Green Uniforms?

For the past few years Jeffrey Lurie has claimed that the Eagles would use kelly green throwback uniforms if it werent for an NFL rule barring teams from using two different helmets throughout the season.

This excuse was absolutely obliterated last Thursday when the Dolphins used helmets with the mid 70s logo and design.

At this point the only explanation is Lurie is lying to the media and fans about this alleged rule simply because he really doesnt want to see the team in Kelly green throwbacks.

Is there any other reason to believe the Dolphins can wear different helmets but the Eagles cant?

Talking about the Broncos game tonight regarding their uniforms. You can change the decals on your helmet, as the Broncos will wear the old D but you can’t wear two different colored helmets. The helmet must incorporate the primary colours of the team. Their primary colours are now midnight green and black. They can’t wear a Kelly Green helmet and midnight green uniforms.

I was under the impression that the one helmet rule was for player safety because the players are individually fitted for the helmets.

Agreed that teams can change decals on the helmets.

A Kelly Green jersey goes well with my eyes! I’ve had people tell me that.

What about the Rams? Those are alternate colors on their helmet.

The white horn decal is from the 60’s, and maybe earlier. The blue helmet is their primary color.

BTW, their helmets are absolutely spectacular! I love how they compliment the jerseys!

They are quite fabulous, aren't they?
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

So a team that's worth two billion dollars

Can't afford to get the players fitted for two helmets?
