  • When do the Eagles and Hurts start thinking about a contract extension?

Obviously, you don't want to get burnt like you did with Cartson but I think Hurtz has greater character and work ethic. The signs of grown have been impressive. One moment which really increased my confidence in Hurtz was that play last night where he audibled and made that completion to Stoll.

Who is his agent? That might give us an idea of what we're up against?

I believe that they cannot offer an extension until after this season based on the rules dictating rookie contracts. I fully expect that Howie is already looking for ways pony up the Brinks truck without decimating the rest of the talent pool too badly.

When his rookie deal is up, stop giving contracts to people before their other deals are done that is when you get burned, he can always be franchised if needed, but they will come to a deal when the time is right.

It’s a crap shoot both ways. Lamar Jackson is playing out the last year of his contract. He definitely isn’t having the season he wanted.

You franchise tag him and see how he does against a (possible) first place schedule next year. I still think he's not the answer but we're not the first fanbase to get enamored with another Cam Newton or Lamar Jackson-type QB who eventually gets exposed and we won't be the last.

I think he still has a year on his rookie contract, no franchise tag needed until 24

Even better. I may be missing someone but these types of unconventional quarterbacks typically peak within the first contract in their careers (right before they get that big contract). Once they sign that big contract, they typically regress. I am not even thinking about extending him at this point. They have a long way to go.

The research I've done on hurts (google). I know. Seems like he's got a good head on his shoulders. But, also a big chip. People, talking heads etc. saying he can't do this or that pisses him off, and he wants to prove them wrong. I have no problem with that. Better than a Bible thumper.

Yawn. Same shit, different day. If you don't see the difference between year "one" and today - enjoy that hateraid, must be tasty.

Hey inkdrop these are the conventional qbs nowadays. I'm old school and see where your coming from but, the pocket passers only are a dying breed. Especially with the rpo everyone runs nowadays.

Did we not just have a Super Bowl eight months ago with Stafford and Burrow in it? Dying breed??

Stafford walked into a made to order team. I'll give you Burrows.
