    Spain and now Portugal. Wow.
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

Didn't see the Spain game, but they definitely didn't deserve the win over Portugal. Portugal had that game if they could have finished.

Is Spain out? I don't follow it at all, but I'm in old town Pamplona for another week. Just wondering what I'm in for.

          Dude. Awesome.

The final is Argentina France. Ask someone in Pamplona who they want to see win. I bet they'll agree it's a shame that both can't lose.

Bummer… I was looking forward to some crazy all night celebrations.

Do you live in Madrid? I just drove up from Albufeira, stayed in Seville, Toledo, and Madrid before Pamplona. I’m blown away with how beautiful it is. Stunning country.

Used to. Heading to Seville next week for Christmas with my wife's family.

Love all of those places. Toledo is incredible.

La navidad es un gran momento para pasar tiempo en Espaņa!

Just remember everything (I mean pretty much EVERYTHING) will be closed on Christmas Eve night. If you find an open restaurant it will be sh*tty, Chinese or in a hotel.

Toledo was easily my favorite. You pull up off the main road into what feels like an apartment complex or something, and you're transported back into time 1500 years. The other old towns are cool, but Toledo felt less like a strip of clubs and restaurant and more like a real neighborhood. I found a Latin Mass on Sunday in a little 50 seat church with an excavation site inside, it was incredible. And driving up and down those little claustrophobic streets was a blast.

And the women here, my goodness. They're not just beautiful, but sharp... the way they dress, the way they comport themselves. If I'd found this place 30 years ago when I was single, I would have moved heaven and earth to live here (I ended up with a Spanish/Italian wife, so it worked out).

It really is, everything is lit up and decorated, church bells ringing in every direction, people shopping everywhere, just cold enough to feel like Christmas (but not blistering and unpleasant). Feels like an old world version of the Philly I grew up in.

I want to come back in the spring/summer and hit some of towns on the coast, like Barcelona and San Sebastian.
