  • Anyone else just dead inside after the Super Bowl?

I really haven’t been able to get excited about football since. Hoping Sunday snaps me out of it.

Nope. I love Eagles football, but if that loss is going to put me in a long term funk, then just take a gun and shoot me now.

Maybe I'm getting older but that offseason went by fast.

For me, the loss has gotten tougher to deal with as time goes on. Just realizing how close they were and how hard it is to get back. I still think they have a great team in a bad conference but last year they were completely stacked and the draw was extremely favorable.

Can’t piss away an opportunity like that. Hollow feeling afterward, which seems to be lingering. Golden chance they blew; nothing is a “gimme” like some are building THIS season up to be.

I thought I was the only one, but yes...100 percent. That SB loss ranks up there for me as one of the worst ever. I guess if we win one with Jalen, it won't age as bad, but they had such a perfect opportunity. We will never be that healthy and have that easy of a path.

I think the fact that I watched the game in a suite at a fabulous resort in Playa del Carman and then spent the next week on the beach helped me dull the pain and get over it fairly quickly. If not for Big Dick Nick, though, my temperament would have been much more miserable.

I don’t understand how in the last two Super Bowls our offenses have played like world beaters and our defenses have been total unprepared unmitigated shit.

Did you know that in the second halves of Super Bowls LII and LVII our defenses have given up, combined, six touchdowns, one field goal, one drive where time ran out, and thank God one Tom Brady fumble?

The loss was bad but some good came out of it, primarily that Jalen played like a boss on the biggest stage.

if the team is anything like this board its going to be long season...Its never a good feeling after any SB loss...took us how many years to get back? 12...If we make the playoffs and get to the Div round I'd say that's a great season.

There is literally no reason why the playing field was in such a shitty condition. It’s the biggest stage in sports. In the off season, players have finally come out and spoke up about it. Brandon Graham, Goedert, etc.

Keyshawn Johnson talked about it as well.

I’m not saying it was an NFL conspiracy, but I can see someone like the AZ head grounds keeper sabotaging the field for personal gain.
