  • Hurts is not going to run this year.

And it is changing the play calls. No rollouts and RPO. It's what made them so tough.

            This.

Hurts had 17 carries against Chicago last season. I have no problem with them dialing it back on the RPOs.

            He's still averaging 10 carries a game.

If any one thing in the Patriots game showed the rust from preseason it was the RPO game. I’m sure that when the time is right or necessary the Eagles will dust off that section of the playbook.

It's the threat of the RPO that makes Jalen who he is. So ya enjoy our barely lucky to be 3-0 and out QB being pedestrian with 3tds and 3 Ints and a QBR of 44 and think that will work out long term. This isn't preseason rust anymore, this is scheme, coaching and not playing to your QB's strengths. Guess you have never heard of square peg into a round hole theory. All good brother yes I am fucked up for seeing reality vs living blindly and loving everything the Eagles do. Talk about delusional.

If you think we are great right now and world beaters you need meds. But enjoy your inner peace my friend all good everyone has their own opinions. All good. Cheers to you.

I SAID LAST TWO GAMES WE OUTRUSHED OUR OPPONENT 460 TO 69.

Look at what I initially responded to! It was about the RPO game and designed rollouts. We have had to outrush the opponents because our scheme is not suited for our QB's strengths. I think you already got into you own supply one too many times to understand what you are reading, babbling about and responding to.

                        LOOK SPART...
HE DOESN'T NEED TO RUN THE FUCKING BALL WHEN OUR RUNNING BACKS ARE RUSHING FOR OVER 200 YARDS A GAME LAST TWO GAMES...
WHEN DEFENSES STOP OUR RUNNING ATTACK
( WHICH I DONT SEE HAPPENING WITH OUR PASSING GAME BEING SUCH A THREAT)
THEN YOU WILL SEE MORE RPO'S RUN AND HURTS WILL RUN MORE.
                        ITS THAT SIMPLE.
TO ME HURTS RUNNING 10 TIMES A GAME, WHICH IS HIS AVG THIS YEAR IS WAY TO MUCH.
RUN WHEN YA HAVE TO, BUT LEAVE THE RUSHING YARDS TO THE RUNNING BACKS.

WHY DOES THIS HAVE TO BE EXPLAINED TO YOU?
ITS BASIC FOOTBALL, EVEN AT A HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL...

I don’t really know where the talk of rollouts is coming from. Jalen was actually pretty bad when passing outside of the pocket last year. Awesome in the pocket.

I can think of a few called QB runs that went terribly this season. Third and goal on the first drive against both NE and Minnesota. Another early third down in scoring position against Minnesota. Hurts’s fumble against New England…

They’re definitely running fewer read options, which I’m totally fine with considering the way Swift is playing. Other than that the offense looks pretty similar to last year’s, it’s just not working as well.

Unfortunately this reminds me of 2018. The QB isn’t as good as the year before, so let’s blame the play caller for not calling RPOs or moving the pocket. It’s mostly Hurts just playing a lot worse. I expect him to improve.
