Tangental comment about the 83 team

I remember how excited everyone would get over Earl Cureton. He was the third center behind Moses and Clemon Johnson. When Earl came into the game, it may have been garbage time but you knew it was party time. When he scored, the Spectrum went fucking crazy!

Wasn't Cureton the one who threw the sky hook over Jabbar during the '83 Finals? A guy I grew up with was at that game and he said the Spectrum was bedlam when he hit that shot. If I remember correctly the Sixers had stretched their lead during the time Cureton and some of the other reserves spotted Moses, Doc and Co. He wasn't one of the stars of that team but I thought Clint Richardson was an important cog on that great team.

I remember being a big Wali Jones fan during the late 60's( I was only around 8 at the time) and I was more than a little star-struck when I met him and Jif Wilson(?) when they came to my hometown to dedicate a new outdoor basketball court which our town's recreation dept had built.
