It’s even more difficult to throw a ball over an obstacle if you step closer to it. You want him to throw a ballistic parabolic trajectory?

The dude was really sick. Had to take multiple IV’s and a separate flight just to play. Ran the ball and took some decent hits in a cold rain. Yet with 25 seconds left he should have made perfect reads under pressure to bail out a collapse by the defense. If only he saw the field as well as you guys. Of course you are reading it from multiple angles two days after the game.Last edited by 1960; 12-20-2023, 09:22 PM.

if you can't tell from this video that he completely locks in on AJ and didn't even try to read the field then I am sorry it cannot be made more clear. He made his decision pre snap didn't scan the field and the pocket was more than great to make that play to Smith so stop it
Edit to add: that is a 4 second drop with no adjustment in the pocket. Average QB gets that ball out in 2.5 max 3 seconds.Last edited by Spartan92; 12-20-2023, 09:32 PM.

If Hurts changes his launch plane within an avg. time of 2.5 to 3 sec., it’s more of a hyperbolic trajectory. Plus, Smith was only half way down the hypotenuse of a drag route… adjustment, boom, TD or at least a big gain.
