  • People are reading too much into Hurts from the Seahawks game, IMO

Hurts has not had as good of a season as last but to draw any conclusions from the Seahawks game is flat out stupid. He played like a guy who was sick (which he undeniably was) You could see how his play deteriorated over the course of the game as fatigue set in.

And if he hadn’t played you’d be ripping him for that, bro. That’s on you.

Really? You have direct knowledge of the decision process?

Mucus Mariota is no Nick Foles. He’s not even a Gardner Minshew.

I absolutely would not have ripped him if he sat out…if the dude is sick then he’s sick. I commend him for battling through it but if he was getting progressively worse towards the end of the game then he hurt the team. That’s all I was saying

Honest question…do you guys think hurts has played even above average this year? Compared to how well he played last year?

Nobody wants him to regain that form more than me…where he was torching teams with confidence, doin the gritty after every TD, making throws with touch and accuracy.

Of course he has played worse than last year. I primarily think his problem has been interceptions, which is an enormous problem. That and the bum knee which hopefully is getting better.

He has shown flashes in some come from behind wins for sure but he has not been nearly the dude he was last year. Something is off. Even his demeanour usually shows signs of life like you said on the field now it's more like meh we scored whop de doo - just numb and emotionless. Not sure what is up his ass but he really does seem disengaged. He has a really good head on his shoulders though and that is why I do believe he can get out of this funk and get back to what we saw last year on a more consistent basis, He's made of the right stuff I just think he needs the right guy to bring it out of him. Maybe he had a better relationship with Steichen and just doesn't vibe with BJ and that is why things are stale. Not every coach and QB gel and this one might not be working from both ends.

Agree on all of this…the turnovers have just killed the offense and yea I think that knee injury is affecting him more than he is letting on

I think that’s a major difference than last year. It all seems like a chore for him this year.

Ike said it today…the dude just isn’t havin fun this year like he was last year

                        Agreed.

Not understanding his comments on commitment after the game though. What was that all about?

The fact that it doesn't look dissimilar from a lot of other performances this year is the troubling part. I'm not going to sit here and guess what the flu did to him. This offense has been uneven at best this year.

I actually thought he was good against the Seahawks…until the interception. Good on third down, used his legs when he had to. I thought it was an improvement over the previous 4 games in which he just looked so uncomfortable in the pocket.

IMO the Seattle game showed what can go wrong when running the ball a lot. When you shorten the game like they did, not scoring TDs is a killer. Kelce’s false start was probably the play of the game.

This feels like the Carolina 2018 loss. Just a ridiculous ending after being in control for most of the game.

nobody talks about it but Seumalo’s false start was the critical play in last years Super Bowl. The next play Hurts fumbled and the Chiefs ran it back for six. Changed the entire game. Funny how execution and a simple play makes such a difference.
