The cover 3 shell might be a dying defense. I wonder if blitzing defenses will make a return…QBs nowadays aren’t as used to getting hit

With the way the call roughing the passer these days blitzing is complicated. You need physical CB’s who can tie up the receiver at the line to how off the quick throw. Blitzes are almost more import to clog the throwing lanes and force a throw than hitting the QB. The Eagles D was built to cover and rely on a great front. Neither is working.
