  • One positive about bringing Belichick in

Would be that Howie would not be allowed anywhere near any player personnel decisions.

Maybe set up the draft board, get Bill coffee and turn his stapler over to Bill.

IMO Howie has been much better with personnel decisions than Belichick for a while now. The roster had its weak spots this year but the Eagles still have a lot of talent. Belichick the GM really hasn't been good.

This. Howie great for personnel . Bellichick great for coaching.

That is all. Keep the line. Here are the tools. Okay, Lemme build a ship.

Depends. Belichick still drafts and signs excellent defensive players year after year. He knows how to coach defense. On offense he’s slipped. Thing is we have plenty of talent on offense right now. We don’t have huge issues with replacement. But Howie has always been more tragic with defensive talent. And that side of the ball literally has to be rebuilt. Belichick would never have allowed some of our “talent” near the Patriots’ practice facility. You don’t tackle, you don’t play.

who would you trust to evaluate defensive talent - Belichick, or the man who drafted Nakobe Dean?

The man who nabbed Nakobe and Carter. I'd trust Belichick to maximize their skills. This current coaching staff has no idea.

Dean is a chump. Belichick would chew him up and spit him out. Another permanently crocked draft pick from a guy who is smarter than everyone else.

Um not to be that guy but has anyone followed Billy's stating track record over the part 5 or 6 years? Dude has 1 2 pro bowlers and they are both kickers. Not sure I want Billy anywhere near evaluating draft talent either.

In the last two seasons Belichick has drafted four defensive backs who would walk into the Eagles starting defensive backfield.

That is not in dispute as no one in our secondary should be on an NFL roster not even Slay. He has looked horrible this year. These dudes stole money this year so good on them.

BB is a terrible drafter. Something like 28 of his last first 4 round draft picks haven’t been signed to second contracts.

Fuck Belichick. If he's in, I'm out.

Howie can be a bit hot and cold - he just had a pretty bad offseason which might look better in a few years(Carter, Smith, Brown, Steen, Ojomo in the draft). He hasn't hit rock bottom yet like 2020 - but in general he has been able to put together some great offseasons in a row just when we are ready to run him outta town.

The Bills have had linebacker injury issues all season. In their 17th game of the season, they lose yet another starter, so they plug in a guy named Baylon Spector. I know Spector from Clemson; I never thought much of him. Five snaps all season. Goes in against Miami and plays his ass off, flying all over the field. Same with the Steelers game. Then he gets hurt and they have to put AJ Klein in. Klein was in Key West on vacation with his family Tuesday when the Bills called him and asked him to come back to the team. Klein goes in for Spector and utterly balls out.

Why are Buffalo’s fifth and sixth linebackers better than our starters?
