That and recruiting two consecutive 5 stars at QB who turned out to be busts. -

DJ looked like the real deal in the two games he started as a true freshman when Lawrence was out with COVID, a huge second half comeback against BC and over 400 yards passing against Notre Dame in South Bend. What I believe happened is he went home for the summer, did not focus on his football but rather on NIL, and got full of himself listening to his blowhard father and the rest of the entourage. When he got back to Clemson he didn’t have Lawrence in the qb room showing him how to be a professional, and then he shit the bed in the opener against Georgia where the Bulldogs won in a pick six. Dabo was spoiled after Watson and Lawrence. Both of them were fully developed quarterbacks and leaders when they got to Clemson. Dabo hadn’t had to develop a quarterback in years, and it showed. It also didn’t help that Wide Receiver U has become Wide Receiver PU, which is also a recruiting evaluation issue.Originally posted by RSE View PostComment
