They hit great against bad pitching. They look like amateurs against anyone else. For all of their gaudy numbers, they're a lineup of free-swinging easy outs against playoff caliber competition.

I think the reason we see so few championships around here is because we treat any team that is competitive like they are world champions. This team has not produced to have the high regard the fanbase gives them. They act like champions with winning one. Just like the Sixers.

The Eagles were 10-1 having beaten Kansas City, Dallas, Buffalo and Miami and in three weeks became the worst team in the NFL. Objectively the worst. I didn’t follow the Phillies this season but the Eagles set a mighty high bar.
