  • Is "pretty good" between...

... "good" and "very good" or is "pretty good" between "Okay" and "good"?

To me very good > pretty good.

    But pretty good is pretty.

Why is it pronounced pritty when it is spelled pretty?

So to sum up pretty good is both good and pretty, which makes it slightly better than good. As opposed to almost good.

Then there is so bad it's good.

Really good responses. I think "pretty good" is, depending on tone, better than merely "good." I think it's really pretty good.

You don’t want to be pretty vacant. Pretty pretty vacant.

I have a concept of a pretty good but I can’t share it at the moment
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

Pretty good is not quite up to the same level as good...it's almost good, but not quite.

Hypothetical: You just finished having sex with a Brazilian swimwear model, the wildest sex you've ever experienced, on the level of Steve Guttenberg in Cocoon level, you turn to her and say, "Man, that was pretty good, wasn't it?" You're going to tell me that "pretty good" is not up to "good?"

                              Man I miss Kelly Green.
500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.
