The 10 yard holding penalty is the most important tool in the refs' belt. When they choose to call it and not call it is how they control games.

I must disagree Duck. I say it’s only second.

Their most important tool to control the game is the five yard defensive holding on third down.

You are both right. They have two important tools, the use of which all depends on whether the refs want to extend or kill a drive.

3rd place- Ineligible man down the field call. So the offensive lineman can block but can’t block great or block the second level defender because some dumb defensive player might think for a splint second that he may need to cover them…if the lineman doesn’t declare himself eligible, then he can’t catch a ball anyways. Total bullshit rule and flag throw.
500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.
