Bad news from Baltimore: Ozzie Newsome stepping down

This is where you worry about Douglas leaving town. Gutting Baltimore’s front office was a brilliant move by Howie but I wonder if the bill comes due now that Ozzie is stepping down. The Ravens have to be thinking they can get Douglas back into the fold and he would almost certainly bring some of his staff back to Baltimore with him.

I gotta figure that nothing short of Howie relinquishing total control of personnel and Lurie ponying up one of the highest GM salaries in the league will keep Douglas in the nest.

Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti announced Friday that long-time general manager Ozzie Newsome will step down after the 2018 season. Assistant general manager Eric DeCosta will take over.
