agreed, knowing he will be here and happy next year works for me...Not saying Moore will be easy to replace....Have to remember we had 2 new Coordinators to start this year.

The way I look at it the real disaster was on defense in 2023. My belief is that Hurts was not 100 percent during most of that season. Having Sirianni as an offense minded coach helps with continuity on that side of the ball.

Also, call me crazy but I have always thought the the suspension of big Dom had something to do with the 2023 collapse. Not sure exactly how but it's my gut feeling.

This list of candidates sounds like something to work with to start.

Not saying that at all. I think he was lucky to have the talent he had here and Nick made sure they used it correctly. But the Chiefs won and Bieniemy never got a job because everyone said Reid was the genius. And after they lost the KC in the first matchup how could you pick Gannon over Spags?

I know, I know, just having fun.

I would guess Gannon got a job instead of Spags because he was seen as and up-and-coming, just like Moore and Steichen. I see Spags as being more like Fangio. A DC for life after not being great as a head coach. I also wouldn't expect Nagy to get much interest after how his tenure in Chicago went.

I had to look this up but I was surprised to see that Spags is only a year younger than Fangio.

The defense flat-out quit after Patricia took over. As not-great as Desai was, a lot of those guys probably bonded with him, saw him get fired because of them, and were completely demoralized the rest of the way.

Hurts clearly had some nagging injury that he played through all year, but Brian Johnson's offense was really bad conceptually. I just re-watched this the other day, and it's amazing the difference having a real coordinator (and Saquon) made this season. Night and day.

Moore's transformation from distracted Gannon 2.0 to the third OC in 8 years to lead the Eagles to the SB will be the stuff of legends.
