It’s so true, but 5 will always love you. I just think that McNabb didn’t have the right mental makeup to get it done. He just could not take a back seat to Terrell Owens when it mattered most. Hurts let Saquon take the limelight to get to that cigar with the Lombardi trophy sitting on the floor. That’s what a leader of men does.
The big difference is that Hurts was a born quarterback and McNabb was not. McNabb was a great athlete who made himself into a very good quarterback. But come crunch time, the insecurities showed themselves, the mechanics collapsed.

I think Donny was good enough to win it all,,,he had TO for 1 year,,,Hurts has AJ Brown and The slim reaper...McNabb had Stinkston and Trash for years.

Yeah but he didn’t. He still quarterbacked three NFC championship losses against teams the Eagles were better than, two of them at home (2003, 2004, and 2009) and played horribly the one time he got to the big game. I’ll give him this - FF was beside him the whole time getting outcoached time after time. The two of them amplified each other’s weaknesses.

I can’t believe how irrelevant McNabb is at this point. A total nonentity. Probably doesn’t have a fob to get in the building.
Donovan came in with a chip on his shoulder because a busload of grown-ass men in face paint went to New York to boo the ever-living shit out of him for not being Ricky Williams. He was never comfortable in his own skin in Philly after that.
A parade early in his career probably would have put that to bed. Damn shame we lost Buckhalter in the 2001 NFCCG. That team was good enough to beat New England.
McNabb was never the same after he broke his ankle in 2002. Nobody likes to say it but we’d have been better off sticking with AJ Feeley in the playoffs.
