The secondary just lost their swagger with Slay and CJGJ leaving.

DeJean DeJean can bring it. Sydney Brown can bring it too if he earns a starting spot. Both those guys can hit.

CBGB was the straw that stirred the drink, though.

Green is going to be the new Becton. A first round OL who will revive his career here then get paid elsewhere.

Kind of weird considering they'll be back where they started at OG in 2026. They must really not like Steen.
Yeah CBGB basically confirmed this was about paying the younger players. I just hope HowLo doesn't start channeling too much JoeLo. There is a risk when you start to think you are smarter than everyone else.

They're saving a million dollars this season, and twenty million over the next two seasons. It's primarily (but not only) about locking up Carter.

I get it, but I hate it. CJ was a baller. It's just a consequence of having too many big-ticket players on one roster... which is still a great problem to have.

One thing I do like is the fact that it necessitates playing rookies. When you have really good core group, good coaches and scouts, and a winning culture, you're drafting these guys into a great situation with much better chance for success than other organizations.

They also have the advantage of being one of the few teams in the market for ring-chasing vets to fill out the roster for a season or two, which is nice.
