In the context of this franchise -- the optimism of the early Reid/McNabb years, the blue balls of the NFC title game losses, the heartbreak of the Super Bowl and the collapse of the team and the weirdness of the Kelly era -- it hasn't just felt like forever, it really has been that long. Almost 20 years that I've known some of you.

In that time, you guys have become more than names on a screen.
