I don't know if this is related to what you're focusing on, but the play starts with him in the gun ... he waves Clement behind him ... calls signals ... then walks toward Kelce and yells "KILL KILL" (meaning, obviously to me, that he's faking an audible) ... then he goes right behind Johnson and yells "LANE LANE" ... and the ball was snapped on the second "LANE" ... so maybe it had something to do with the snap count.
