Jeff Kerr of 247 sports had announced before word of his promotion came out that he was stating anyway.

He's under contract and there aren't any other jobs open now. No surprise that he would have stayed next year.

The assistant head coach title is a smart move by the Eagles though. Duce is obviously very respected in the locker room and the right chemistry has been a big part of the team's success.

This seems like a good way to go about it. Things I've read have said that Staley's considered a better head coach candidate than an X's and O's coordinator type.
