  • Brett needs to give Covington the agholor treatment

Love on him and give him some time off. My God he's been brutal

He was light’s out last game. RoCo is unfortunately the literal definition of streaky shooter. When he’s on, he’s very on and when he’s off, he’s very off. His D was outstanding against Charlotte and tonight. That usually never lags.

I missed the Charlotte game. He's been terrible every game I've watched lately

When RoCo has a bad game

I always wonder why they didn’t just draft Tatum
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

I also wonder the same thing every time I see Fultz sitting down or Tatum highlights on ESPN.

He was player of the game. 7/11 fg, 5/9 from 3, 2 blocks. Outstanding on both ends. It had been a while.

When he's bad he doesn't look like an NBA player. I wish he would use his athleticism to get to the rim, but that can sometimes end in disaster as well. I'm afraid all he'll ever be is a defensive ace and streaky 3 shooting specialist. His defense is so good that is ok, but probably doesn't have much upside from here. Dario on the other hand....man, that guy continues to get better quietly ever game.

Because if he comes out the other side from whatever unprecedented bullshit is going on, Markelle Fultz is better than Jayson Tatum and more of what this team needs. Argue the merits of trading assets and question how Fultz and the team have handled all this, but from a pure basketball standpoint (the UW version) Fultz>Tatum. Hopefully the UW Fultz returns.

Tatum is flourishing on the best or 2nd best team in the East, where they're not asking him to do much more than spot up, shoot and play solid D. Don't get me wrong, he's a good player, but, the rush to crown Danny Ainge and the Cs hot start made Tatum out to be a gawd early in the year. He's come back down to Earth as the season has gone on.

He's shooting 47% from the field and 43% from 3. Even if he doesn't have to do much, what he's doing is incredibly solid for a rookie. He would've won ROY last year and many others. You are right that his Jan and Feb were down, but even still, a rookie playing 30 min a game and shooting 42% from the field and somewhere ~36-37% from three is still very solid. He's going to be a very good player and possibly and AS for years to come. Would not have been a bad 2-3 swing player for us. Hopefully Fultz comes to fruition.

There was a good article in the Athletic showing how a lot of his struggles stem from the fact that his skill set doesn't mesh as well with the offense when Ben and Embiid are in. He can't really create his own shot and the sets they have been running don't give him a ton of opportunities to pop out for open looks . I don't know. It was an interesting article.

But yeah, he's been not so good this year. Good defender, but he has to add more on the offensive end.
