The more I look at this schedule, the more I like it

• There's good spacing of home vs. away games (no real protracted road trips).
  
• The home start times are fairly convenient for me (loving the Dallas game on a night when I already have a holiday the following day).
  
• Three of the five December games are away, which means less having to endure possibly cold weather (playoff games are another story).
  
• Road games in Nashville and New Orleans? Hell yeah...the partying fan presence will be epic.
  
• With the London game, the bye week is in a nice spot, exactly halfway through the schedule.
  
• And for some reason, my confidence is through the roof this year. I can honestly say there's nobody we (yes, WE) can't beat. Sure, there will be some challenges, but it's so nice to finally be the top dog...BECAUSE WE WON THE F*CKING SUPER BOWL!

Id replace jags in london with bucs in TB. From what i understand the jags have a pretty good following in London and displaced fans always show up big time in florida games.

You know, for the last decade or so, I've been pretty lukewarm on home preseason games. But I'm starting to think that first one this year will be a completely different atmosphere. Not quite the "raise the banner" event of the real home opener...but certainly worth attending the first Eagles football event of the year.


And Zubes...let's start planning the roadies. I already have my campsites set up for the home games, and I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on Nashville and/or New Orleans. Gotta check with the boy first.

Believe me when I tell you the number of Jags fans are small compared to the number of Eagles fans here. There are at least 5 Eagles’ fan clubs here. I went to the casino when the conference championship games were being broadcast and there were few Jags fans—but there were literally hundreds of Eagles fans there waiting for our game to start. If any of you are planning to come over let me know and I’ll take you around the city. My ex office partner in Philly (Air Force recruiters), and his wife are coming over with the Green Legion.

and I would say that was the most entertaining preseason game I have seen in decades...Pitts will be a blast! August 9th shorts and Flip flops, and tons of cold beer,,,well at least for you guys!,,,We'll be there, I'm sure of it.

Vikings have a thursday night game the week before we play them - so they get 10 days to prepare. Not a huge deal, but a little annoying. The schedule always has a few quirks like this.

Athens sorry to hear that. I’m attending opening night in Philly in September.

Broadstreet—the only reason the Jags play here are because they couldn’t sell tickets at their own stadium. Most people follow the teams they’re playing. Every year before the Jags game they have a big NFL carnival on Regent St near the shopping district of the West End. Niketown has all sorts of NFL apparel but it’s mostly devoted to the 6 teams or 8 teams that play in London that year. I see fans wearing the jerseys in plenty of numbers of the other 31 teams—the Jags not so much. I think that has a lot to do with their record over the years. They have won the last 3 games here but until then they were getting blown out.
