I didn't see the end of the game last night but they carry 13 pitchers on the Phillies 25 man roster. That only leaves 4 potential pinch hitters. I can understand how you might run out in a 16 inning game.

I think the 1980 Phillies only carried 10 pitchers on their roster. Things were different then.

I stayed for the whole thing and posted pissed when Gabe Kwan Do seemed to be trying to prolong the game ... I was so punchy I thought it was the 13th and it was the 14th.

I understood when he was out of hitters and used a better hitting pitcher there, but that failure to bunt nearly had me throwing the remote.
