Back then, knee injuries ruined careers and Wes was never quite the same after his injury. A knee injury also ruined Ben Smith’s career (safety) who was drafted during the Wes days.



I remember watching the Eagles lose Wes Hopkins in the 4th quarter of a MN game. MN then came back with 4 TDS in the last 6 minutes of the game for a win. I’m probably mistaken on the facts a little....

I don’t remember many meaningless games but this one stood out and I had to look it up. I’m remember Anthony Carter scoring and I remember the game was at the Vet. It was such a demoralizing loss.
