He had smallwood on a screen wide open on 3rd down and Alshon open on 4th down. He is so much better than Foles except for when the pressure is on. Not sure Eagles have a ring if Wentz plays against atl, min, & pats.

Goedart was sipping espresso all alone with no one within a 15 yard vicinity of him on 3rd down. I hate to crucify wentz when the defense and Schwartz deserve more but if you wanna be the franchise QB u gotta win in those situations and 3 game winning drives in 3 years is not very impressive. Play calling sucked buy wentz can change the play anytime he wants at the line.

That made it even worse. Had a guy open on the sideline. Not being able to get 22 yards in 2018 is inexcusable.

IMO Wentz has left a lot to be desired in these situations. He had a couple of chances to get us first downs and run out the clock before the Panthers took the lead. If he pulls that off, then we're looking at a game where the defense only gives up 14, which is very good these days.

I remember 2 games in 2016, at Detroit and Washington here where he had chances to win those games and didn't get the job done either. He has more talent now. Hope this is just growing pains and not the norm going forward. Last year they killed teams when he played well and hardly trailed at all. That's not going to happen all the time.

I don't think they win 52 if Wentz was the QB. They would have won Atlanta and Minny regardless but that particular game Foles needed to make tons of plays late in that game and got pressure on most. 4th and 5 on the last TD drive plus 3 more 3rd downs including the TD to Ertz.

Thing is they had a solid lead yesterday. All he needed to do was to sustain one drive down the stretch. He couldn't do it... and Gomer was giving hm every chance to do so, which was a mistake.

Wentz is a really good to great QB. The lack of "clutch" has been a concern for me though - last year he didn't have many opportunities to show it, just seems like he is not the same player in pressure situations.
