Forget it ... I just googled it ... it appears he does ... so there might be a chance for the Phillies.

great minds think alike. In reality, I think it's more likely the Phillies make some sort of push midseason, especially if they end up w/o Harper or Machado.

in that case, Trout is part of a firesale, but doesn't have a desire to end up in Atlanta or some other location similar to Philly, but not specifically here. If it involved some west coast team (Dodgers?), then I could see him staying there.

The Phillies don’t have one of the best farm systems in baseball, Tom. There are 25 teams that could offer a better package for Trout.

but the Phillies still have a top 10 farm system - what they lack is elite prospects though and for that point, I think you're correct.
