My personal speculation is that essentially yes, it was a stash out of necessity. I think they wanted to play him in week 17 if they could, but I suspect they'll have too many inactives as is and needed the roster spot for depth.
If they were healthier, he'd probably get a shot, but then again, if they were healthier there'd probably be more to play for.Comment
