I think several teams would grab Sudfeld with a 2nd round tender. Raiders have 3 first round picks and one pick in the 20’s. A 1st round is nothing if someone sees Sudfeld as a future franchise QB. If Jax doesn’t land Foles, they might target Sudfeld.

and he will sign somewhere else. That’s a cheap price for a back up QB that can be an intriguing starter prospect.

FOR ME IT'S JUST A GUT FEELING ABOUT SUDS. HE'S 6' 5", OR 6,6 WHICH IS A GOOD SIZE FOR A QB. I JUST FEEL HE'S GOT POTENTIAL, BUT I CAN'T SEE ANYBODY GIVING UP A 2 FOR HIM. HE'S UNPROVEN WITH ALMOST NO PRO EXPERIENCE.

I’m not saying Jax will pick him up as a starter right away, just that they will be “licking their chops” to pick him up. Depending what it might cost Jax to pick up Foles, I don’t think it’s outrageous to have Foles at $25m and Sudafed at $3+m on Jax’s roster.

Obviously, I’m speculating on Jax as a potential landing spot, but the bigger point is that there will be a demand for Sudfeld. Multiple teams.

A first round tender will cost $4.2+m
A second round $3+m
An original round $2+m (I think Sudfeld was a 5th ... not sure)

So yeah, he’ll get a mimimum of a second round tender.

EDIT TO ADD: I think Jax might be interested in moving player(s) to the Eagles for Foles. They are a little heavy in the salary cap like the Eagles, so if this were to happen, Howie would have to restructure players etc. A combination of player(s) and a pick (next year) for Foles and a 2nd this year for Sudfeld. Not a bad way to revamp your QB room and reunite a new OC with two QBs. Plus spreading out a couple of picks over 2 years doesn’t sting. It’s only speculation, but it makes sense to me.
