Fair enough. But the Mcnabb led Eagles had the advantage of playing a horrible NFC East every year for years and only managed 1 Super Bowl appearance which resulted in a loss.

The NFC was sooo bad in 04. That was easily the best team of the FF area, so I think they would have made the SB regardless, but they coincided with the worst NFC ever. Two 8-8 teams won playoff games! Even without TO they were head and shoulders above the rest of the conference.

It's true that the AFC East is horrible but I think that 9 SB appearances make up for that. Even with homefield advantage, that's not easy.
