serious question -- why does WIP AM Show put Joe Conklin bits on the air?

Did you notice they actually recycle his crappy bits over several days now? So if you didn't hear his "Billy the Helper" spot today, you'll be able to tomorrow. What a lazy show.

It's too bad the program director at 97.5 hasn't figured out having 15 dudes on air talking over each other doesn't make for good competition.

Sports radio in this town is a cesspool. It's getting worse now that any decent and non-caller driven content you want is available in podcast form. So unless you wanna hear with Marty in the Northeast bloviate on why the Eagles need to show Brandon graham some respect and Franchise Foles, there's not much of a reason to keep listening.

I know many of us just listen because it's easy to get to in the car, but I don't see how two radio stations continue to survive here long term.

i like the decamera and ritchie show from 10-2.

that's the only 1 i typically listen to somewhat regularly during the offseason. unless you're a 4/4 person (which i'm not b/c i don't dig the phillies or flyers) it's a good time to recharge the batteries I guess. I just happened to catch conklin this AM and it pissed me off.

oh, and way too much ESP on WIP. i don't get that hire at all, frankly.

WIP has been best when Ray Diddy and Roob have been hosting while other people are on Vac.

Maybe they're hoping his "Two Funny Guys" act and his weekly shows at Little Sisters of the Poor Banquet Hall will pay off and he moves on?

Why do they give a show to a comedian like Big Daddy Graham when he knows jack shit about sports, not much more about being a comedian either. He talks about stupid shit and plays music.
