  • John Ross

Bengals are shopping him according to Rapoport

    - Former 1st round pick (2017)
    - Fastest 40 in combine history

Guy was an absolute beast at UW.

The knock on him is that he's injury prone and needs to work on his route running.

The Bengals wasted his talent and he still had 7 TDs on the season.

The Eagles need to add a burner to the offense. For the right price, John Ross might be worth saving a high pick to use elsewhere...

    Tasty contract as well...

For a low to mid-round pick, I'd give him a shot. Let him compete against Mack Hollins for the #2 spot with Agholor in the slot. If both crap out, slide Agholor outside and bring back Jordan Matthews.

Yep. I'd be in on that in an instant. No way he can't give you what Smith (and certainly Wallace) did.

I'm hoping they can work something out with Agholor, too. You keep Ags, Jeffery, and Matthews, then add Ross and this group is better than the one that won the Super Bowl.

Doesn’t the fact the bengals are already giving up on the guy they took 1 pick ahead of Mahomes say it all?

Hell to the no I’m not trading a draft pick for him.

Didn’t like him coming out and don’t like him now.

That works both ways. Maybe they are giving up on him because they are dumb.

We have no one on this team who can do this (maybe Nelly?)...

It does say a lot about him.

His 7 TDs last year were luck. Dude caught 21 passes. TDs always regress to the mean. See Agholor from 2017 to 2018.

It's not bad to be a good red zone receiver, but look at the games where Ross had 1 catch for 3 yards and a TD, 2 for 11 and a TD, etc. That's not what you'd expect from a burner.

That being said, the Eagles only need a guy who can run fast down field, and maybe be the 5th receiving option in general. For a late round pick, I'd see if Ross could fill that role.

They didn't use him as a burner. They mostly used him in the red zone because whoever ran their offense was a moron.
