I can't imagine they can afford him. He's going to get overpaid.

I guess. When it comes to that point, does it really matter?

A dream scenario would be they get one of those guys, extend Suds, draft a guy and end up cutting the older vet at the end of the preseason because they have what they need.

I expect Foles will be back here in a few of years. Just a hunch.

I'd rather overpay for a known quantity than....

...underpay for a bunch of Busts, Chumps, and Jagoffs!

I wouldn't have an issue with them singing him, I just think he's going to be out of Howie's 'linebacker price range'. The Eagles defense isn’t entirely predicated on the play of its linebackers and they have shown in the past they just don't value the position that much. I expect him to get at least $12m plus per year and that's out of their range. I'd be shocked if their philosophy changed.

Update: The 49ers are signing Kwon Alexander to a 4-year deal worth $54M. Mosley is getting more than that. Howie has to be out now.

Mosley would be great, but Kwon getting $13.5/year indicates that C.J.'s getting at least that if not more.

That being said, I'd take Mosley at $13 mil/year over Le'Veon for $15 mil/year. Not sure Howie would though.
