So this afternoon I go to this food cart sorta near where I work

I tell her I would like a hot dog with sauerkraut and mustard.

She gives me the hot dog and I take it back to eat it. It's wrapped in foil.

So I open it up and it's a hot dog with mustard and KETCHUP! I took two bites but couldn't finish the thing.

Kelly Green would have been appalled. I don't know if he liked kraut on a dog but I know ketchup was a no no for him.

Here's something I never tried: a Rhode Island "hot weiner".

Apparently they are shorter than your regular weiner, as befits something from New England, and are topped with some sort of meat.

Up here they have “hot dog chili sauce” (not Ted’s if you know what that is) that looks like barf in a can, but I have a high embarrassment threshold so I eat it on my dogs. Otherwise Gulden’s only.

I’m not a big fan of the 52 varieties of German hot dogs they have up here. This is my ranking of hot dogs:

1. Hebrew National
2. Nathan’s
3. Everything else.

It's kind of a mayo based concoction. Almost like a tartar sauce.

I did have it on a hot dog (called a pylsur there, and made with lamb, pork, and beef) in Iceland, and it was the tits.
