He can't play anymore. As in, his bloodclot situation is severe enough that if he was to play he is at risk of dropping dead on a basketball court. Even if he wanted to play, which he doesn't seem to any longer (he fought with the Heat to try and get on the court for about 2 years), no way he could get medically cleared. Its actually sort of sad, guy was on pace to be a potential HOFer but his body betrayed him.
