A Texas police department and the Cowgirls are accused of conspiring to cover-up a traffic accident in which Ezekiel Elliott was involved in January, 2017 so that he would be able to play in the Cowgirls playoff game against the Packers. He rolled through a red light and nearly totaled a BMW. There were witnesses to the accident who said Elliott was at fault but he wasn't charged by the police. Cowgirls running back coach Gary Brown rushed to the scene and said the Cowgirls would take care of everything, which they haven't. Elliott refused medical care because he and the Cowgirls feared his health would be questioned before the playoff game.
