He didn’t practice this week either and Pederson said Tuesday it’s not trade related and that he’s got a minor lower back injury.

Could be bullshit, or they could be trying to stash him on the IR to make room for someone else.

Could be a stash. If they were considering cutting him you think they would give him a chance to play in the final game.

He played with the ones at RT

in practices and played a boatload in the other fake games.
I think you’re right. He certainly could be a stash.
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

I think that he may really have an injury, AND he's probably not ready to be a game day active player. Stash him on IR and let him sit in meetings and watch and learn. He's not going to get a lot of starter-type reps during the season anyway.

I heard Bo Wulf and Sheil Kapadia discussing players getting phantom injuries/being stashed on IR, and there were a couple of interesting points: a player has to agree to the process. For example, if Shareef Miller appears that he won't be active on game day all season, and he comes down with a hangnail, he has to agree to go on IR and forfeit his chance to play. A player could say: "Fine, release me." so that player could go somewhere else.
