Whats most amazing is how everybody seems to think or know what Chip is going to do when in fact none of us do know. The one thing I believe is his strength is adapting his game to his personnel. I give him the benefit of the doubt until there is a reason not to. Its also good because I don't have to spend the next few months worrying about how awful they will be and can just be excited for a new product on the field. It also helps that I do beleive this team will be competetive and close to 8-8 this years.

Most of your thoughts are predicated on thinking the Eagles believe they're contenders. They aren't, and they don't. This is at least a two year process. Probably three before respectability returns to the team.

        but that's a fair interpretation...

Although I suspect Kelly wants to win from Day 1 even if its unlikely he does

I think after mini camps and OTAs Kinne will get cut. That'll leave it down to a manageable 4--which is the same number Reid had in his training camps. And if Barkley or Foles happens to have a better camp than Vick, well, No.7 will be shown the door. From what Todd Herrremans said, the vets have already bought into what Kelly is doing and I can't imagine that Vick, particularly after throwing his teammates under the bus, when he thought he wasn't coming back, would have many veterans on the team up in arms if he's cut or benched.

You can't compare this years camp to Reid's. Reid had a well-established system in place and no competition for the starting QB spot. He only had to occasionally sort out the 2 and 3 guys. Right now they have what looks like a free-for-all at QB.

Most of the money is on Vick although Domo predicted Foles as the opening day starter in the paper today.

Eagle fans poll from phillynews.com guesses:
            Michael Vick 1781 (48.1%)
            Nick Foles 1004 (27.1%)
            Matt Barkley 921 (24.9%)

no doubt some have. no need for finger pointing now.

but whatever he thought, there's not a chance Herreman's was going to say anything different on the record.

At least you cited the source for your unscientific fan opinion poll taken before a single practice. Not that it now has any more merit.
