      IF they went to Walmart;

      Nobody would have noticed.

        why would someone name their kids like this?

        You are a fucking idiot.
        500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

          How so? I am black and my family is full of names that won't get a job application thrown in the trash on site. This crap drives me crazy.

            If both sides were wrong, the mall wouldn't have called the family to apologize.

            This is a classic case of a loser mall cop enjoying his lame moment of being a demi-god. Somehow reminds me of an old Elvis Costello song.

              Well, you know that's not true. If this weren't in the paper, the mall never would have called...

                If the mall felt that they did the right thing in the first place once the story was published why would they bother to have called?

                  What is the problem with their names?

                    because, again, if it weren't for the paper, they would have never called. Discretion is the better part of valor

                      I don't disagree that without the article they may not have apologized but if the general feeling after the article was published was that the people wearing the "offensive" clothing were in the wrong, where would the pressure be from to apologize?

                          the article wasn't written that way. It reads like an advocacy piece (and to sell papers, no one wants to read about how a mall cop kicked out someone who was actually being offensive). The mall was never going to come out smelling like roses.
