    hell yes i do.

we used to drink a lot of free, wretched beer. my buddy cleaned up this shithole bar back home saturday and sunday mornings that his aunt owned. the place was a honest to God a bigger dump than the Double Deuce before Dalton got there to turn it around. Talking constant fights, never carded anyone, every hick with a chip on his shoulder there looking to start shit, etc.

anyway, he'd steal a case or 2 of whatever he could on his way out from the back and stow it in his car. It was usually Piels or Old Vienna splits. if we were lucky we'd get bottles of old milwaukee regular. that stuff's not actually terrible all things considered.

    Piels was the worst.

he'd stash them in his 68 superbeetle til that night, which was great in winter b/c it'd be ice cold but not so great in the summer b/c it would be piss warm.

    memories!!

Peels and Hamm's were actually decent bad beers, IMO.

Schlitz and Schaeffer's were the pits.

500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

          Chesterfield Ale is top notch

Yuengling's Chesterfield Ale is good. Got in in a holiday case a few years ago... they treat it like an expense specialty though.
Too bad about Schmidt's Tigers Head Ale, that was a nice one too.

Agree, beer should taste like beer. No need for any alterations here including putting lime in there.

Yeah, Ying, Bud Ice are my slamming brews and Icehouse is my budget beer, preferably in bottles.

Was drinking San Miguel in the Philippines, surprisingly good beer, even some Germans agreed. But, to me pretty much any beer you get outside the US is much better than what is consumed here. FUCK PASTEURIZATION !!!

You're talking to someone who regularly drinks Bud forties. Having an appreciation for other beer styles in addition to the mass produced American adjunct lagers that have dominated the market since prohibition is not the same as being a beer snob.

The American wine industry was dominated by fortified bum wines after prohibition. I'm not a fan of beer or wine snobs, but if you think anyone liking wine beyond Thunderbird is a snob you are just kind of the equally stupid opposite of a snob.
