500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

If Chip is losing the team based on having an open competition at certain positions, my concern would be which players are opposed to that, not the coach's methods.
In one of his tweets he said other players agree CK should name the starter before camp. Never said anywhere I read that players were not feeling the "college" type stuff. If you ask me, up-tempo practices with music aren't a "college" thing, and other coaches are also doing this. Neither is slapping loose balls out of a fumble prone qb's hands, forcing then to find throwing lanes using flyswatter type gizmos, or expecting the guy who is going to lead this team and offense to keep his mouth shut, go along with his coach as an example for his teammates, and show they can outplay the other 2 guys.

Vick deserves to be handed exactly NOTHING. He's had 3/4 of a good season in the 4 years he's been here. Just shut up and show us.

anybody bitching about having to prove himself/win a job in training camp that was a part of a 4 win embarassment last year is clearly a guy who is not gonna help turn this thing around.

weed those fuckers out this year and build with guys who are hungry. not fat cats who are afraid to compete.

he did make that decision but he can also make the decision to cut him if he's gonna start being a problem.

it's not his money and he needs to set the precendent that those days are over.

                    Oh give it up already

The whole organization sucks and will never amount to anything. Think of it as the Cleveland Browns with a Dream Team complex. Somehow, at some time, Eagles fans started thinking that they were a legitimate NFL franchise. People: All the screaming in the stadium, face paint, jerseys, message board post, etc is not going to do sh*t. It's a crap team run by a sh*t owner who keeps hiring people who he can control. Do you think he's going to hire an NFL man with actual power? Isn't it obvious now that he jettisoned everyone in his life that started to gain the upper hand on him? His coach, the GM or VP or whatever the f*ck he was, his wife. Lurie is in control and he's not a football man. He sucks. The guy cares more about useless windmills on his stadium than he does about the team.

Here I was thinking you might let a ray of sunshine shoot out of your ass but instead the two of you make me want to put on Total Eclipse of the Heart, get a fifth of vodka and a handful of Vicodin.

Agreed. Except he already has started being a problem.

Best not to let this simmer. I expect Shady will be next to go public. How far behind will Cary Williams be? Gonna have a split locker room before long. TO-McNabb deja vu.

Most of the team is lucky Vick doesn't kill dogs any more.

He might have slaughtered the lot of them if he still did.
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.
